The Aquila SofTech Cushion helps heal and prevent pressure injuries.

SofTech Custom Wheelchair Cushion

Retail cost $4730 (effective 01/01/2023)

The SofTech Wheelchair Cushion is in a class by itself.  With completely new state of the art electronics and auto-start/stop, the best just got better.

The SofTech wheelchair cushion is custom made and specifically designed to treat and prevent pressure sores by automatically changing pressure distribution. The benefits of the SofTech wheelchair cushion are similar to doing a pressure lift but without requiring effort from the end-user.  Circulation is actively stimulated every 60 seconds which is instrumental in preventing pressure sores.

The SofTech wheelchair cushion also provides full time offloading where you need it, such as under an existing pressure sore or area of sensitivity.  The custom fabrication process allows Aquila technicians to offload under your areas of concern no matter the size or location.

The SofTech wheelchair cushion is a completely self-contained system with the electronics, battery, and pump built right into the cushion rather than in a separate controller.  The SofTech also utilizes auto-start/stop technology.  The SofTech wheelchair cushion will start automatically when weight is applied to the surface of the cushion.  When weight is removed from the surface of the cushion, the SofTech will automatically turn off.  The best truly just got better.

We guarantee our custom wheelchair cushions to be the most effective cushions on the market in terms of stimulating circulation while offloading under existing pressure injuries.  We also have the most clinical evidence of any cushion on the market.

The SofTech has been assigned HCPCS code E2609 for reimbursement from Medicare and other insurance.

Medicare Coverage

The Medicare billing code for the SofTech Seating System is: HCPCS E2609.
