The Airpulse PK Powered Cushion

Type of Test:  Simulated Immersion and Extended use test report
Lab:  All Cushion Test Labs, St. Petersburg, FL
Date of test:  7-19-2004

Test Method:  The cushion was subjected to 27,000 loading cycles at 500 Newtons using Staarink Rigid Loading Indenter.

Number of Months of Use Simulated:  This cyclic loading test is equivalent to 18 months of use for the cushion.  There was no apparent change noted in the surface performance of the cushion as tested.

Result:  Passed

Testing methodology as described in SADMERC Wheelchair Seating Policy Article of 2004 was followed in these tests.

Custom Air Manually Inflated Two-Zone Cushion

Type of Test:  Simulated Immersion and Extended use test report
Lab:  All Cushion Test Labs, St. Petersburg, FL
Date of Test:  7-16-04

Test Method:  The cushion was subjected to 27,000 loading cycles at 500 Newtons using Staarink Rigid Loading Indenter.

Number of Months of Use Simulated:  This cyclic loading test is equivalent to 18 months of use for the cushion.  The cushion had to be inflated once during testing which is normal for air cushions, otherwise no critical change in the surface of the cushion itself was noted.

Result:  Passed

Testing methodology as described in SADMERC Wheelchair Seating Policy Article of 2004 was followed in these tests.
